Ardbeg 15 Year Old Trudernish Single Malt Scotch Whisky 750mL is a 15-year-old Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky and the first permanent 15-year-old expression to join Ardbeg’s core range. Trudernish takes its name from an ancient settlement on Islay’s Enchanted Cape. The whisky is matured in a combination of bourbon casks, new charred oak, and Oloroso sherry casks, creating a softer and creamier interpretation of Ardbeg’s signature heavily peated style. Bottled at 48.8% ABV (97.6 proof) and non-chill filtered, Trudernish combines earthy peat and maritime smoke with rich vanilla, fruit, chocolate, and toasted oak.
Ardbeg Trudernish opens with earthy peat and gentle woodsmoke wrapped in rich vanilla cream, followed by pine resin, heather honey, green apple, pear, black pepper, and dried herbs. The palate is creamy and full-bodied, developing layers of sweet vanilla, pine, dark licorice, chocolate-lime, herbal mint, orchard fruit, and chocolate-covered nuts. The finish is long, soothing, and smoky, with lingering peat embers, vanilla pod, and toasted nuts.
