18 years in a combination of re-fill and hogshead casks, the whisky was then finished for a period of around 15 months in Cabernet Sauvignon red wine casks from the Napa Valley, California, USA.
TASTING NOTES:
The wine’s influence adds an air of opulence and intriguing red berry aromas, green apple and honeyed, floral notes. Rich and decadent. A velvety texture and softening spice leave a mellow dram to contemplate over.
