Matured in an exquisite combination of fine Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, The Glendronach Aged 21 Years is an exceptionally rich and refined Highland Single Malt with an enveloping mouthfeel and sublime finish, for which it is renowned. The full depth of its dark colour is drawn from these fine sherrry casks in which it has laid to rest.
Colour: Deep amber with a cherry wood sheen.
Aroma: Elegant ripe autumn fruits with blackberries and red plums, enlivened by candied orange. Spiced oatmeal and toasted oak deliver weight and balance.
Palate: Sip resolute flavours of fine sherry and bitter chocolate sauce poured on nutmeg and ginger-baked Victoria plum pudding.
Finish: Savour plum skin and ripe blackberry in dark chocolate treacle into the perfectly sublime long-lasting finish.
700mL, 48% ABV.

Awesome sherry matured whiskey. For the money better than Mac18. Similar richness that will put a smile on any sherry lovers face.

Great value for a 21 year old Sherry Single Malt
Macallan 18 is now very expensive. Here is a 21 year old Glendronach that is less expensive with a similar taste pallet. A little hotter (48% vs 43%), but on my opinion a very good alternative.
