The finest Scottish concerto barley is smoked to 50ppm using aromatic heather-rich peat sourced from the Scottish Highlands.
Distilled slowly in traditional copper pot stills using the incredibly pure water of Loch Katrine, Glasgow 1770 Peated is matured in American virgin oak casks and finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.
Bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered and natural in colour, the experience is a wonderfully floral and welcoming sweet BBQ smoke on the nose with floral undertones throughout. Notes of rich toffee and dark fruits combine on the palate with hints of tobacco leaf and dried apricots before a wonderfully rich and long finish with a hint of spice.
Glasgow 1770 Peated was named ‘Best Lowland Single Malt Whisky in 2020, 2021 and 2022’ and is an absolute must for any peated whisky fans.
