The Balvenie Stories 18 Year Old French Pineau Cask Finish Single Malt Scotch Whisky – A Collection of Curious Casks was aged 10 years in a combination of ex-bourbon and European oak casks and finished for 8 years in casks that previously held wine from the French Charentes vineyards. This limited edition release delivers warming amber tones on the nose, intriguing layers of spice and rich sweetness in taste—giving way to a long and lingering finish.
Nose: Velvety sweetness, rich toffee and smouldering oak reveal crisp citrus aromas and ever flowing honey musk.
Taste: Candied orange peel is grounded in woody, earthy flavors from beautifully roasted malt and a deep vanilla oakiness.
Finish: Long and lingering.
