An affordable and delicious blended malt based on the whisky taken to Antarctica in 1907. Apples, dry molasses, citrus and nuts in a full, balanced array

For those that did not know, this is the third and most affordable of the Shackleton whisky recreations. This version comes in a simple cardboard box versus the fancier packaging of the first two editions. I understand that the taste is about the same and I give it 5 stars for the fact that it's relatively good and you are drinking something with great historical significance. I've been to the South Pole and loved having this at an event some time afterwards.
I like it

I'm not a whisky expert but this is smooth for a scotch. Very little bite when sipped neat. Aftertaste of leather to my palate. Tasty with an ice cube or diluted with water or sparkling water. Love the connection to Shackleton.
