The Glenloy is our ‘Whiskeymaker’s Signature Selection’ whereby we carefully selected our classic single malt whiskey from a combination of first-use Bourbon casks, Portuguese STR red-wine barriques, and Spanish Sherry casks (Oloroso & PX). The result is a refined, ‘classic’ single malt island whiskey with a delicate balance of fruit, floral, and Sherry notes. Together these casks compliment the tropical fruits and creamy presentation of our new-make house style (which garnered a Gold Medal at the prestigious World Whiskies Awards). When savoured with the attention it deserves, this island single malt will reveal a plethora of varied tasting notes as you would expect from a world class dram.
Nose: Fruit, floral and Sherry notes followed with oak, vanilla, malt, and sea breeze.
Palate: Creamy, caramelized orange, vanilla, potpourri, fruit cake, blackcurrant, honey, wood spices, and lingering oak.
All bottles and cartons are individually numbered from this limited release of just 1,276 bottles. The carton has an image of Vancouver Island that wraps around all four sides, befitting the fact that this is an ‘island whiskey’. The sides of the carton are adorned with gold embossing with notes encompassing the whiskey’s tasting profiles and the distillery’s heritage.
