Kilkerran's whiskey starts with as much locally grown barley as possible, which is then malted in traditional floor maltings. The malt is then dried over a peat fire. Once dry, the malt is mashed and fermented in house where Kilkerran promotes a longer and slower fermentation process yielding a fruitier ale, and therefore fruitier spirit. It is distilled twice and aged in a variety of casks. Bottled without chill filtration, artificial colors, or additives.
