Oloroso Puncheon / 59.1%
Appearance: Dark Polished maple wood. Lazy & thin oily legs.
Nose: Stewed fruit, hot caramel sauce, milk chocolate, and Flambéed banana dance around the glass. A hint of pear drop (acetone) appears alongside some cherry cola. Held in the glass for a little longer, the sherry grows and a far-off whiff of strawberry ice cream appears.
Palate: Big sherried sweetness with a drying chili-tingle are there from the off. Warmth carries the sherry through perfectly and delivers notes of fruit’n’nut chocolate and juicy raisins. A little oakiness arrives on the tongue.
Finish: Long and warming. Sweetness coats the mouth with a hint of almond.
Conclusion: Big and powerful that forces you to go back for a second performance.
