Founded in 1823, Fukano Distillery is located in Hitoyoshi City, of the Kumamoto Prefecture of Japan on the island of Kyushu. Hitoyoshi is surrounded by mountains and is known for its pure water and nature.
It is a Whisky that is distilled, matured, and bottled in Japan.
Fukano Jikan is one of four limited release whiskies exported in 2018 from the craft distillery. It’s a moderately fragrant rice shochu-based whisky with a creamy texure. Specific tasting notes include green almond, walnut, dried flowers, dried grass, green and golden apple, lemon and orange peel, caramelized sugar, vanilla, AND sour rice. Bottled at 40.4% ABV.
