A rare opportunity to taste the fruity and floral Speyside single malt in an unfiltered high proof state. This is offered at 115.2 proof, giving all the nuances as well as a hefty weight to the nose and palate
Region: Speyside. Owned by John Dewar & Sons (Bacardi). Founded in 1895. The distillery's malting floors closed in 1968 and the entire distillery was rebuilt and expanded in 1970. A new spirit still and wash still were placed in addition to the two stills that were already present, and Aultmore Reopened in 1971.
This Speyside malt whisky is rare, with only 297 bottles worldwide. It was drawn at cask strength from a single Hogshead cask. It retains all its natural cask sediments as well as all of its natural oils and fats. There was no colour added and no chill filtration. It was distilled at Aultmore Distillery in October 2006 and bottled by Blackadder in July 2018.
