This is a wonderful limited edition 22 year old single malt Scotch from Ardbeg Distillery. It was distilled in 1996, when Ardbeg was under threat of closure and is one of the last distillations using Ardbeg's old stills making it a true classic are rare to find bottle. Distilled in ex bourbon casks and bottled at 46.4%

A celebratory dram

We had tried this twice before, once at Ardbeg, and once at last year’s SF WhiskyFest, and loved it both times. So my wife bought a bottle for my birthday. Earthy, with bright fruit notes of peach and pineapple, making the palate light but complex. Smooth, with a note of oiliness on the tongue. Medium long finish. A treasure, For slow sipping and savoring.
